a tree has its beauty, spring and summer, and then it must quietly submit to the fall and winter. i wonder if my own battles are much like a tree. to bend, not break to stay firm, yet give way to new things.

And i'd say, walking out of a situation isn't being a chicken. At times it would be the most sensible thing to do. But not walking out of every situtation or fight though.

sillyGoof@ one walks out of a situation when there is apprently no hope left for its betterment, or when one has lost the inclination to turn it into something better, or when its not worth the trouble, or when one is a plain chicken and cannot fight thru it!
not always can walking out of a situation be cowardly... they say... "the weak give up and stay, the strong give up and move away!"
