One of those moments
Of dressing up my little girl...
I picked up a frock
In dazzling vermilion.
She looked and frowned
'mumma, I wanna raimbow colour'!!
'Dah'lin... there's NO rainbow colour!'
Seeing her throw'in tantrums
I gave in to her desires.
Ordering me to shut my eyes
She chose her attire
Dismantling, to do a revise...
After an engrossed fight,
She stood in front rhyming,
In a violet skirt and
Tic-tack indigo shoes shining
A bright blue bandana
Green polka dots chiming.
Yellow bangles to match Ma's attire
Nails painted orange
And lips with random red sparkle.
There was my doll
In a plethora of colours,
Looking pretty as ever
In her 'raimbow' colour!
As I ran a finger
On my kohl rimmed eye,
I looked far away
Blinking back tears;
When a rainbow flashed in my mushy eye
Taking a cue from the rainbow in my life!
