Last day at Patni :( - Perpetual Melody

The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

As kids, we have loads of dreams, all unrelated and diametrically opposite, about what we want to be when we grow up. As we advance in years, those dreams start taking a concrete shape and we get clearer about what we want to do with our lives, and chart out a path to pursue. But somewhere, this path gets lost amidst the rigours of daily life.

But what's life without a dream! Today is my last day at Patni, and I am out to explore a new world. I started out as a fresher, and have had a fabulous time working here. I thank all of you for the help and support extended to me all along. Do stay in touch. And yes, here's something i doodled out yesterday - from me to all of you

As i start another journey
From the known to the indefinite
My greeting is tinged with sadness
As I bid 'farewell'.

One moment of reflection
And the years swoosh by me.
A season of sweat and blood,
Of releases and bug-swatting
Of late-sittings and client calls
Of shared sorrows and joys
Of silent cribs and gossips
Of giggles and uproarious laughs
- I shall carry it all with me.

With dreams in my eyes
It was a journey well-begun,
I steadily steer my little boat now, in
Search of milestones that beckon.

But its a small world, and I bid adieu
With the promise of meeting again!
