Not all who wander are lost,
I don't wander, yet I'm lost!
If I ventured out, probably
I just might find myself?

there was only
one Road; that it was like a great river: its springs were at every
doorstep, and every path was its tributary. "It's a dangerous business,
Frodo, going out of your door," he used to say. "You step into the Road, and
if you don't keep your feet, there is no knowing where you might be swept
off to. Do you realize that this is the very path that goes through
Mirkwood, and that if you let it, it might take you to the Lonely Mountain
or even worse places?"

you dont have to wander to find yourself.

how then, would i know life if i were to remain confined to my own territory? how would i ever know the joys of flowing along with the tide? when i step out, there could be a lot of undesired stops, but.. maybe, someday i'd reach my destination? and even if i dont, i'm sure the journey would be far more interesting than the stay within the gloomy bounds wondering what lies beyond the doorstep!

it is this very incompleteness, this very restlessness, that curiosity and unanswered questions bring along. and i keep getting lost in myriad thoughts floating in the ocean of my mind. to find these answers, and to know what i'm capable of, i think i'll need to wander a bit

Lost is rightful word when you've found something initially.. .So people are lost unless they find themselves whatever they were to loose...
The search and wander itself is something priceless... venture for the unknown, take the path not taken for, then you will get the joy unexplored......and you will find your missing dimension .. coward are those who cry , they tie their legs and proclaim handicap... inspire life ..

long time.

Have you read richard bach's illusions? there are some theories there that i really liked. basically the upshot is that we have this restlessness because we dont know ourselves and the aim of this life is know ourselves. and to know ourselves we have to look inside.

i am not saying not to wander. but that you dont need to wander to find yourself. having experiences (but more importantly observing how we react to them) tells us about ourselves. Wandering helps in having experiences and insofar helps in "finding ourself" but apart from that wandering is just a way to have experiences/emotions/sensations. Very easy to get lost in mirkwood or even in the barrows because mirkwood & barrows both provide lots of emotions/sensations. Tom Bombadil or gandalf are the only ones safe there cause they already know themselves.

so beware red riding hood and dont go off the road into the woods. not unless you are confident enough to fool the wolves there.

I guess my philosophy is look inside, find yourself and then wander around to find the world/ live the world.

~If I seem a bit morbid, its just cuz i am trying to present an argument. usually i am off trekking into unknown myself (exactly what i am trying to do here )
